2022 Annual Report

On behalf of Planting Seeds, I want to thank you for your support this past year and update you on the ways in which God led us to help make an impact in the Miami Valley in 2022.  We remain committed to our mission to use the items that God has provided to share the gospel of Jesus and to meet those in our community where they live.  With His guidance, and through the tremendous support of our volunteers, community partners, and our donors, we continued to change the lives of so many in need this past year.  As we continue to meet the critical needs of families in the Miami Valley, we wanted to highlight the life-changing impact your support helped provide in 2022.

Families across the Miami Valley continue to have critical needs for beds, home furnishings, and other household items, and God led us to bless a record number of these families this past year with the support they desperately need. In fact, we increased the number of people served this past year by 32.5%! Specifically, God led us to bless over 995 people across the Miami Valley with furniture, 456 beds, bedding, and household appliances.  In total, our neighbors received over 5,557 much-needed pieces of furniture and other household items. The total number of items delivered this past year increased nearly 25%.  To put that in perspective, our hard-working volunteers delivered nearly 211,000 pounds of items and furnishings in 2022.  That’s just over 105 tons of items that helped make a difference in the lives of those in need across the Miami Valley.  We see God working through this mission to help change lives!

The tremendous growth we’ve seen this past year continues to highlight the number of people across the Miami Valley who need your support.  We ask that you continue to donate your gently used household items. We also ask that you consider making a financial contribution to support Planting Seeds’ mission. Your financial support helps our organization acquire new beds, appliances, and other items for families in need.  Your financial support also helps defer expenses related to rising fuel costs for the nearly 800 pickups and deliveries we make each year. As a registered 501(c)(3) organization, your contributions are tax deductible.  With your help, we can continue to serve the Miami Valley and provide crucial assistance to our neighbors in need.
